Summary
Afghan rug, Late 19th century. On red ground with two central lozenge medallions, quartered, with alternating colours. Surrounded by four borders of various sizes. Colours of bright blue, black and cream. Fringed at short ends. CPW Item number 2 (Dragon). Turkish knot. 5cm kilim ends. Sides over sewn in figure eight. Knot count 350 x 280.
