Summary

Steelyard engraved '162 T.Beach'. Beam has shaped end.Two hooks on pivoting stirrups with fixed pointers, one each side of the beam, to hang the device. Two hooks on a stirrup which can pivot to either side of the beam to hold the item being weighed. One traveling hook for the weigh. There is a different scale on each side of the beam - one marked from 0 to 40, the other from 40 to 160.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
