Summary
Apothecary's oak medicine box, brass carrying handle attached to lid. Diamond shaped keyhole, escutcheon missing. Brass hinges. Lid and bottle compartments lined with green velvet. Lid opens to reveal upper compartment containing 8 glass bottles with stoppers. Beneath, a pull-out drawer has a top separate section for scales above compartments containing glass measuring beaker, glass pestle, and mortar. The scale compartment has a paper label of weight equivalencies printed in black in stuck to the bottom. Recessed pull-ring to open drawer is missing.
