Tooled red leather covered wooden hinged box, silk-lined lid. On green label inside lid:'W. Smith,Surgical Instrument & Truss Maker 2 New Street East end of St Thos. St, Southwark, London.late of St. Saviour’s chyard'. On top of lid, silver plaque engraved 'Charles Bridge'. Contains two scarificators.
