Summary
Prismatic Compass. Steel rotating rose (no needle) with glass cover with sight mark. Rotating bezel. Folding top and prism make it portable. Locks for rose and bezel. Brass case with glass insert and sight line, with brass hanging loop. Engraved on the reverse in capitals: 'C.W Dixey and Son, 3 New Bond Street, London'. Around edge of top: ‘Service pattern. Prismatic compass,’ Bound leather case with strap and buckle, lined with red velvet and the initials G.E.T embossed.
