Summary
Celestial globe, on tripod stand of mahogany on castors. Wooden equator ring with months and astrological signs and degrees. Medidian rib in brass, with degrees engraved on. Label on side of globe reads 'To the Rev Nevil Maskellyne. D.D, F. RS. Astronomer Royal. this New British Celestial Globe containing the Positions of nearly 6000 Stars, Clusters, Nebulae, Planetary Nebulae and Correctly computed and laid down for the year 1800 to the latest observations and discoveries by Dr. Maskellyne, Dr. Herschel, The Revd. Mr Wollaston and Co and Co. Is respectfully dedicated by his most obedient humble servants, W and T. M Bardin'. Lower label reads 'Manufactured and Sold Wholesale and Retail by W and T. M BARDIN, 16 Salisbury Square, Fleet Street, London.'. Labelled picture of various scientific objects and birds and fish on lower half.
