Summary
Money scales in a made up box. Green baize lining. Swan neck iron beam, replacement cords. Weights nor original, 1oz stamped London County Council (L.L.C.) post 1878, 1/2 oz marked crown VR, pre 1878. 1/4 oz marked 1826 and portcullis of Westminster. 1/4 oz is bronze marked crown W, dagger in shield (London city), ewer of Founder's Co, 2DR stamped crown GR (George III or IV).
Provenance
Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
