Summary
Money scales in oval japanned metal box lined with green baize, pad missing from lid. Box-end iron beam, copper pans. Two weights in strip metal sockets, marked 5.8, and 2.16 for the guinea and half guinea after 1774, but before 1798. Stamped lion of Goldsmith's Hall, London. Also one marked 1 guinea Wt, bust of George II, Initials I.K under bust (John Kirk, London). Also contains a round gold metal token with a notch out of one edge. In a circle around a central raised notch is "STANDd COLOUR". Around this each letter in a circle is 'TREBLE GILT'.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
