Summary
Artificial Horizon. Mahogany box containing a Mahogany tray, pouring lip in one corner, with triangular metal containing two angled panes of glass which fits into the tray. A boxwood bottle of mercury with a screwed wooden stopper covered with a reversible porcelain cover to act as both pourer and funnel. This bottle held in a circular compartment in the box. Unsigned, English, late 19th century. In a mahogany case.
