Summary

Model; Peacock - Stylized wooden carving of a peacock, possibly a finial. Eight remaining wooden pieces for the tail display , ninth piece missing. Coloured matt green with blue chest and orange details. Four remaining nails for head feathers, fifth one missing. Nail heads for eyes. Now mounted on a black painted stand with circular base.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
