Summary

Black and gold lacquer shrine cabinet with brass fittings and catch. Opens to reveal gilded and painted wooden deity of a seated woman with child standing on her knee. Interior of cabinet painted gold.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
