Summary
Carved, wooden head of a Djanger dancer wearing a headdress. The large ear plugs, Subang, are only worn by unmarried girls. From Bali. In notebook no.4, page 47 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Seraphim 164. Unpainted masks life size. Two heads of DJANGA dancers, one with this gold headress with its quivering blooms. (The large SUBANG = Ear plugs are only worn by unmarried girls.)'
