Summary
Document holder - Persian lacquered court document cover consisiting of two lacquered boards with black leather spine with gold painted decoration. Symmetrical panels showing 9 crimson flowering chrysanthemums with a background of orange and yellow flowers, and green foliage. Surrounded by a frieze of yellow daffodils. Inside painted black with central gold painted rosette surrounded by 8 stylised gold flowers.
