Summary
Black and white portrait photograph, printed on paper stuck onto a white photographer's card. Below picture, printed in red ink 'Disderi & Co. (Limited)'. On reverse, also printed in red ink, a very ornate signature 'Disderi', and below 'Paris, 8, Boulevard des Italiens London, Brook Street, 70, 71, 72. Hanover Square W. and for Equestrian Portraits, Hereford Lodge, old Brompton Road, S. W.' The picture is a small head a shoulders of a youngish woman wearing a high neck dress with lace collar and a white stole, and a dark choker - Princess Alexandra (see National Portrait Gallery Photographs Gallery no. NPG Ax7914 dated 1866).

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
