Summary
Black and white portrait photograph, printed on paper stuck onto a photographer's card. Below the picture, printed 'Sawyer Norwich'. On reverse, at the top, handwritten in pencil 'Mrs. G.Inilir Frere; printed 'Solem Cerissima Signa Sequuntur' above a stylised sunrise with 'Sawyer's Italian Studio' above a coat and arms, then 'Norwich 46, London St. negatives preserved Copies can always be had by quoting No. 25507 This portrait can be reduced for the smallest locket or enlarged up to life size & finished in Crayon, Oil or Water Colors'. The picture is of an elderly woman, seated at an ornate desk, her left hand on a book and right elbow on the desk. She is wearing a voluminous dark dress with white collar, and a dark hat.
