Summary
Black and white portrait photograph, printed on plain paper stuck to white card (photographer's carte de visite). Beneath picture: 'Boning & Small, 10 Verulam Place, St. Leonards on Sea', and a small crown. On reverse, below a royal coat of arms: 'Boning & Small Photographers to the crown princess of Prussia. This picture can be enlarged to any size. A valuable painting produced on paper or canvass the likeness cannot fail to be correct. Oborne, London & Paris'. In top right corner, in black ink: '23271'. The picture is of a moustachiod young man wearing a and a high-buttoned coat and wing collar with a cameo brooch at the throat.
