Summary
Black and white landscape photograph, unmounted, narrow white border. On reverse is stamped 'Photograph by W. J. Bassett-Lowke, "New Ways", Northampton'. Same as 1336696/SNO.PH.1, but smaller. Picture is of Charles Paget Wade, with a pipe in his left hand, with a two masted model boat, the lugger, the John Silver (1338788/SNO.TR.8.1) built by Charles Wade for Wolf's Cove. Also in the photograph are models of Long John Silver(1339370.2), Israel Hands(1339370.4) and Jim Hawkins (1339370.5) (characters from 'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson). Photograph taken in the garden of Snowshill Manor, near the pond and entrance to Jolly Roger.
