Summary
Headdress of a dancing girl from Bali 'Tjondong' ussed in conventional dance of stories based on the 'Malat', Balinese verion of A Thousand and One Nights. Cut out of buffalo hide and gilded, the flowers are frangipani. Consists of open trelliswork to the front of the head with sides and back of elaborate pierced style. Small gold devil mask at the back. Gold beaded tassels suspended from either side at the front.
