Summary
Meerschaum pipe with carved bowl showing a crown with a horn of plenty and a laurel wreath. Horn and metal mounted mouthpiece. Hymms and Co. (Meerschaum German trans. Meer - 'sea', and Schaum - 'foam'in reference to its frothiness. Hydrated magnesium silicate, found mainly in Turkey, it resembles clay, and was commonly used for pipe bowls.)
