Summary
Lanthorn crook - Staff with turned wooden shaft, part painted white red and black. Surmounted by a steel sheep crook type head, with a spur on the back with a 7-pointed star-shaped end (one point missing). In notebook no.1, page 61 (1340945.1) Charles Wade refers to: 'Salamander 27. An Iron Crook for Carrying a LANTERN with turned & painted staff.'. Includes sketch.
