Summary
Bowed zither German, c.1880. Heart shaped. Two dealer's labels: 'Keith Prowse and Co. 44 Cheapside. London' inside, visible through sound holes. Wooden, four strings (one missing) Two circular holes in sounding board. Four metal tension pegs at base. Gold line decoration around holes and along sides. Mother of pearl inserts in finger board.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
