Summary
Cornet with disc valves, by Köhler, London, c.1840s. Marked with a cartouche containing a coat of arms and the wording 'KÖHLER, SOLE MAKER, 35 HENRIETTA STREET, COVENT GARDEN, LONDON. ROYAL LETTERS PATENT', and 'J. SHAW' and 'Rl MARINES' above it, along the horn. In notebook no.2, page 8 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 11. Cornet c.1840 Engraved Ri Marines. Brass'. Includes sketch with dimensions.
