Drum (Side - ), Potter (Henry - ), London, 1900. Brass side drum by Henry Potter of London. Red, white and blue painted hoops. Repaired by George Potter, Aldershot. Inscribed on side 'HENRY POTTER 30 CHARING CROSS LONDON 1900 4MDX NO5' and 'RENOVATED AND HERALDRY BY GEORGE POTTER AND CO ALDERSHOT'. Bracing tightened by buff leather 'tugs'. Screw tensioner for snares. In notebook no.2, page 6 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 9. Pair of Side Drums of Brass lettered 4 MDX No 5 Henry Potter 30 Charing Cross 1900 Renovated & heraldry by Geo. Potter Aldershot.'' Includes sketch with dimensions.
