Summary
Square Piano, Longman & Co. London, c.1810 Marked 'Longman & Company / No.131 / Cheapside London'. 5½ octaves, FF – c4. Above keyboard, inlays of an oval plaque with the name as above, flowers and foliage, and at each end fretwork over blue fabric. Double border of inlaid wood around top and front. Fold down lid with music stand inside. Hinged compartment to right side giving access to the strings. Beneath, a shelf with single pedal held with rope operating a mechanism at back. On four brass castors. At the corners beneath keyboard brass medallions depicting musical instruments.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
