Summary
Double bass bow with a round brazilwood stick finished with red tinted shellac. There is a metal ferrule and one mother-of-pearl eye missing from the frog. The maker’s batch mark / is marked on the stick and frog in the usual positions. The ebony adjuster is missing a mother-of-pearl eye and the brass eyelet in the frog is split. An anachronistic headface has been fitted which resembles ivory. Galpin research list number 94b. Previously associated with inventory number SNO.MC.4545.
