Summary
Brass cornet, Parks, English, c.1850 Marked 'James Parks' on bell. Three Stölzel valves. In fitted case 1335334.2. Also in their places in the case: three crooks marked on small silver plaques 'F', 'G' and 'Ab' (A flat); two tuning shanks, marked on silver plaques 'A' and 'B', the latter having one bracket broken. In notebook no.4, page 4 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 25. Brass Cornet by James Parks with accessories in box.'
