Summary
Double flageolet by Bainbridge, London, 1830. Marked 'Bainbridge Inventor 35 Holborn Hill London' on top and second sections. Coat of arms on collar of second section. Boxwood with ivory mounts and mouthpiece. Silver keys hallmarked for London, 1830. Silver plate inscribed: ‘THOS. BARTLETT (SGT) MUSIC MASTER OF 22nd REGT’ and his initial stamped alongside.. .Stamped on one end ‘Bainbridge Inventor New Patent’. Keys and holes marked with note letters. Ivory pegs between finger holes.. Original case, See 1335310.2. In notebook no.4, page 7 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 56. Double Flagelot by Bainbridge, Liverpool, with mahogany case & original bill for £6-9-0 1831.'
