Summary
Boot protector - 'D' shaped iron plate thickened with lugs at the top and bottom. One of the lugs has a leather strap still attached. Thought to be used to protect boots from impact with top of spade when digging.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
