Summary
Iron rim lock in brass casing. Mechanism not visible. Main bolt runs in decorated iron guides and brass runners, operated from both sides by key and by square hole in boss, end of bolt bevelled to enable door to be slammed. Brass secondary bolt actuated by brass knob on slider fitted to exposed side of faceplate. Possibly 2 lions seated, etched on main bolt.
