Summary
Scallop shell shaped silver pen tray. Base of shell hinged, lifting to reveal glass inkwell with silver top. Stands on 3 rococo feet, with chased circle decoration to each side of the feet. Engraved around inkwell: 'To Mary Blanche Bulwer from Elizabeth Barbara Bulwer Lytton'. Engraved on base: ' STORR and MORTIMMER' and hallmarks.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
