Summary
Ciborium, gilt and silver cup for holding communion wafers in a church. Silver bowl with elaborate lid with locating catches, pierced finial, Maltese cross design. Repousse leaf decoration around the edge of the lid. The stem highly decorated with engraved and repousse decoration. On the base, small engraved shield bearing the arms of Wm de Surmont of Belgium (three apples). CPW Item number 18.
