Summary

Persian pen case, steel inlaid with brass, with sleeve cover. Three panels to the convex cover top, two with floral and bird design, third, central panel has inscription with floral and bird design to the sides. Stylised foliage decoration to the base. Sliding interior with ink well.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
