Summary
One of five Goffering irons of various sizes. Long, thin brass tube, closed at one end, mounted via curved support on a small brass base with engraved rings around it. (An iron which is used to crimp or make wavy, flute, or crimp a lace edge or trimming.) In notebook no.5, page 22 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Top Royal no.671 Small Brass Italian Iron' Includes sketch.
