Summary
Censor in gilded brass, with the hexagonal cup raised on hexagonal shaped foot. Pierced conical cover. Three hanging chains and one other attached cover. Separate lining of hexagonal metal. 'Thurible, 236' (M.Jessup) In Account book SNO.MISC.972 Mr Wade refers to a 'Brass Censer. Dutch. 18c' that he purchased from 'Trudgil' for £1. 10s. (page 10)
