Summary

Weight driven spit jack, of wrought iron and brass with iron winding handle. Single wooden pulley. Pierced brass decoration, flywheel has lead weights on two 'S' shaped arms. Fixed to the chimney breast.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
