Summary
First quarter bell (right-hand) above turret clock: Inscription and marks: [None] Founder and date: General foundry casting – not attributable to a specific maker – of later C19 or early C20 date Mouldings: Edge moulding below shoulder and two incised mouldings above the soundbow Canons and argent: Peg argent Mouth diameter: 275mm (10⅞ inches) Frequency / note: Nominal 2725Hz (F minus 43 cents) Approximate weight: 14.5kg (32 lbs) Fittings: Hung “out” on a U-shaped wrought iron bar stock and fitted with a clapper suspended from a false crown staple. Struck (or “clocked”) by a cord fixed to the clapper.
