Summary
A pine cradle, English, circa 1850. Of panelled construction, with an angular integral hood and brass knobs along the top edges, on rockers. 'Wade' blue painted interior. In notebook no.5, page 42 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Nursery no.103 Child’s Cradle of pine on rockers. The inside is painted Cerulean Blue & has a cross over the head of child.' Includes a sketch with dimensions.
