Summary
Wooden sewing box with wave-shaped front and hinged lid. Brass hinges and locks. Lid lifts to reveal removeable inner tray with thirteen compartments, five of which have separate lids with ivory handles and an inlaid twisted black and white border. The tray has red leather handles to each end. Underneath the tray is a further pull out drawer with seventeen compartments with separate lids of differing woods which have ivory handles, and painted ivory panels, and two compartments without lids. Panels have red and black floral decoration. Inside the whole box are a pink cotton tape measure and ten brown buttons attached to pieces of card.
