Summary
Document box - Leather covered wooden, shaped box with tooled patterned border and flower decorations, containing a rolled, vellum. grant of a coat of arms for Benjamin Bond to take the name of Hopkins, 1772. The document is stored rolled with two red wax seals to lower edge which are stored in circular japanned metal containers with lids within the shaping of the box.. Each container has gold floral decoration and gold bands to lid. The containers are held on to the document with yellow silk ribbon. Interior of case is lined with blue, orange and pink paper. Two metal hook clasps to case, one missing.
