Summary
A pony hide and iron bound trunk, English, circa 1850. Label inside R.PLAYFORD TRUNK MAKER, pasted over with a hand-written inventory of clothing entitled 'Bulwer's Inventory', studded around the edges and with initials EB outlined in studs on the lid, with side carrying handles. The trunk contains a large number of items including printed paper place settings and tea cloths (now inventoried individually).

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
