Summary
Smoking pipe - Twenty-nine briar pipes stored in drawer marked 'SHEAVES' in cupboard SNO.F.768. Six complete briar pipes, one stamped 'Real briar WESBRAND. Made in France'. Six bowls, one with metal ferrule stamped 'NEWBOND foreign made'. Sixteen bakelite pipe stems and one horn pipe stem. Three complete pipes were removed from the drawer to go on display in Occidens slavery display 27.2.2007 (Jane Birdsall) but it is not clear whether they were ever returned to the drawer.
