Summary
Japanese armour box in wood painted red and black. Hinged lid with an iron catch. Metal banding down two of the sides with large rectangular handles. Six metal loops at the base of the box. Four metal loops by the handles. Black painted Japanese characters to the front left. Crack across lid.
