Summary
Lace bobbin winder with wooden wide rimmed hoop wheel in three sections of thin wood, each curved and all held with metal rivets, rectangular level stock supported by four legs. Skein holder has four framed arms which revolve around upright, on a sliding bar to alter distance from bobbin assembly.Wooden screw to hold bobbin. Two grooved bobbin drive.. Winding area at opposite end. In notebook no.5, page 6 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: Lace Room no.32 Lace Bobin Winder of elm to stand on floor' Includes sketch.
