Summary

Hardwood box containing a Chinese writing set. Hinged lid with brass catches. Interior contains fixed bead abacus and five compartments. Compartments contain brush, ink stone, marble well.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
