Summary
A large giltwood and gesso Shrine for carrying a relic in procession. Gold leaf on gesso, burnished. Three tiers, including removable, domed top with finial, other two levels square with arched tops supported by columns. Bottom tier has side doors which hinge downwards. Urn finials at the corners of all levels. The whole standing on a square, panelled base with curved outriggers, and a larger second base, top and bottom painted green.

Purchased in Belgium. Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
