Summary
Original black and white head and shoulders portrait photograph on a pink carte de visite of Amy Blanche Wade (Charles Paget Wade's Mother). She wears a floral bonnet tied with a large ribbon under her chin, and a heavily beaded and embroidered top. Printed beneath the photograph in gold: 'Walery Photographer to the Queen 164 Regent Street, London', and a crown with the letters V R'. Same on the reverse, plus 'Permanent photographs on enamel. Special studio or sitting by electric light', and, in pencil, '13139'.
