Summary
'The Sailor's Farewell'. Coloured print with metal and textile embellishments depicting a man in a sailor's uniform with a bindle over his shoulder. Next to him is a woman who is holding a young girl up to him to be kissed, to his other side is a dog. They are standing outside of a house with leaded windows and a hanging lantern. In the background is a body of water with two boats sailing on it. In notebook no.5, page 10 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Lace Room no.82 Pair of cutout prints with satin inlay. "The Sailor's Farewell". "The Sailor's Return".'
