Summary
'The Sailors Return'. Coloured print with metal and textile embellishments depicting a seated man in sailors uniform with one arm around a woman's waist and the other holding a child on his knee. A dog has it's front paws up to his other knee and the sailors hat, pocket watch and bindle are discarded on the floor. In the background is an open doorway showing a garden trellis and a lantern, inside is a grandfather clock and a mirror. In notebook no.5, page 10 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Lace Room no.82 Pair of cutout prints with satin inlay. "The Sailor's Farewell". "The Sailor's Return".'
