Summary
Large, framed print. Central illustration includes: a ship with three main masts and flying five flags, of various sizes, pulling a small tug behind with a small lifeboat beside it. Left of this is a smaller illustration of a ship with three masts in full sail flying one red flag. Below is a cutaway illustration of the inside of a ship's hull. Above are six segments, each showing further illustrations of boats. On either side are three narrow columns containing many coloured flags. Along lower edge is listed names of parts of a ship and a marked compass in lower RH corner. Cartouche beside central illustration reads, 'To the Rt. Hon Sr. CHARLES WAGER. First Lord Commissr. of the Admiraltry and c. and c. this Plate is most humbly Inscribed. Printed and sold by John Bowles. No. 13 in Cornhill and Carrington Bowles at 69, St Pauls's Churchyard.' In a black stained wooden frame.
