Summary
Jug, tiny, stoneware. Darker brown at the top. Applied cream projections (as favoured by Wedgewood) of hounds, tree, windmill and figure. Impressed on base 'Doulton, Lambeth, England' and '6497' and 'qqq'. Displayed in a niche arranged by Michael Jessup in the 1990s referred to as 'Teddy Bears' Picnic'.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
